At GDI we build our products to last. That’s why proper service is so important. Our service technicians replace springs, repair motors, fix weatherstripping—a well-cared for GDI product can last many, many years.
All garage doors and awnings need service to keep them in top working order. Our radio-dispatched service personnel are in your area once a week. Schedule a service call ahead of time and get a reduced rate for tune-up and adjustment. Ask about our pre-scheduled service contracts.

- Tip: Stain your wood GDI gate or door yearly to protect it. Do not use varnish, polyurethane or shellac.
- Tip: Your wood George Door product should be lightly sanded with 100 grit or finer sandpaper and dusted with a tack cloth prior to application of stain or sealer.
- Tip: Wood doors and gates should be professionally painted, stained, or sealed within 72 hours of installation. We do not finish them.
